Ethical Children’s Clothing

Ethical, Organic & Sustainable, it's confusing for the best of us! Am I doing the right thing? Are you doing the right thing? All the questions we ask ourselves every time we go shopping for kids clothing.

Here we're going to visit this 3 part Blog starting off with: Ethical Children’s Clothing

What Does Ethical Clothing mean?

Clothing that is produced in a manner that positively impacts the social issues facing the fashion industry, think of this as the opposite to fast fashion, use, reuse, recycle.

Ethical clothing refers to clothing that is produced and manufactured in a way that is considered to be socially and environmentally responsible. This can include fair labor practices, such as paying workers fair wages and providing safe working conditions, and using sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and production methods. Ethical clothing companies are often transparent about their supply chain and production processes, and work to reduce their impact on the environment and promote social justice. The goal of ethical clothing is to create a more sustainable and equitable fashion industry, and to encourage consumers to make more conscious purchasing decisions.

How can you support in keeping things Ethical?

Wear it and share it, this could not be more appropriate in today's world, to truly move away from fast fashion you have to try and make maximum use of the garment you buy, whether that is you wearing it until you outgrow the garment or passing it over to someone else to continue wearing it until they repeat the above cycle!

What are we doing to support this?

We're introducing the sale or recycle initiative soon, so if you buy any pyjamas from HIM n HER then you will have the option to either resell the pyjama set as a preloved garment or recycle.

"Kids grow out of clothes soo quickly"

We get it, with 3 kids of our own, its difficult to practice sustainable fashion because kids grow up so fast and so we're going to move away from single sizes to between sizes for example, 6-7years, the idea being that this opens up possibilities for the garment to be worn longer.

Buy Unisex

"If you can wear it so can I" We've introduced a limited but niche selection of gender neutral children's unisex pyjamas, so whoever grabs it first from the washing pile can claim it!
